Shining a Light on Community Support in Bayside

In 2023, BayCISS was proud to be connected with the Bayside season of The Block, which brought national attention to our local community.

With filming taking place in Charming St, Hampton East, the series highlighted not only the transformation of homes, but also the strength and generosity of the surrounding community. For BayCISS, it was an opportunity to be part of a broader conversation about supporting those in need.

As a local organisation, our focus has always been on providing practical support to individuals and families experiencing hardship across Bayside and parts of Kingston. The increased visibility of the area during this time helped shine a light on the importance of community services and the role organisations like BayCISS play in supporting vulnerable community members.

Moments like these are a reminder of how powerful community connection can be. Whether through local initiatives, partnerships or increased awareness, every opportunity helps strengthen our ability to continue delivering essential services such as emergency relief, advocacy and support.

We are grateful to be part of a community that values connection, generosity and looking out for one another.
