BayCISS was delighted to meet with Mayor Alex Del Porto this week, where we were presented with a generous donation from a young community member making a big impact.

Marianne raised $1,000 for BayCISS by collecting outgrown toys from fellow students and selling them at a garage sale, with the support of her family and Brighton Primary School. The funds will go directly towards supporting our Emergency Relief program.

In addition, any remaining toys will be donated to organisations supporting Indigenous children, ensuring the impact of this initiative continues even further. Marianne hopes to make this an annual event and inspire other local schools to get involved, combining sustainability with community support.

Thank you Marianne for your compassion, initiative and commitment to helping others while caring for the environment. We absolutely love your work!
